Edwin O'Connor

Senior Pastor

Pastor Ed was born in Kalamazoo Michigan and became a follower of Jesus in the winter of 1996. In 2001 he reached a point in his spiritual journey of surrendering all of his life to God, and out of this sanctifying experience the call to ministry was impressed upon his heart. In 2005 he graduated Vennard College with a bachelors degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministries.

Pastor Ed and his wife Laura have two young girls, 2 guinea pigs, a few fish, and a lot of silliness in their home.

Some favorite things for the family are movie nights, playing games, Barbies (for the girls!) and railroads (for Ed!).

Ed came to the church in December of 2019 and is very thankful and blessed to be in such a warm church and wonderful community.

Peter Albertson

Associate Pastor

Pastor Peter was born in Lansing, Michigan. He began following Jesus at age 10, and felt the call to ministry at age 12. He graduated from Olivet University in 1978 with a BS in religion and then from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1979.  He continued on to receive his Master of Pastoral Counseling from Olivet in 1991.

He has pastored 4 Nazarene churches and worked in Hospice care for many of his 50 years of ministry. Pastor Peter was ordained on the Michigan District Church of the Nazarene in 1973.

Peter came to Churubusco Church of the Nazarene as an Associate Pastor in March 2014. He and his wife Theresa will be married 50 years this May! They have two sons and 5 grandchildren.

Del Harshman

Worship Pastor

Pastor Del is a second generation Nazarene, born and raised in Ossian, Indiana. He received an Associates degree in Social Science at Olivet University. While at Olivet, he met his wife Becky, who he has now been married to for 39 years! Over the years he has worked many different jobs, but has now been a master electrician with Laux/Arnold for the last 32 years.

Del started as the Worship Pastor in Churubusco 26 years ago. He enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time in God's beautiful outdoors to prepare himself for worship on Sunday. He and his wife Becky have 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.

The thing Pastor Del likes about Churubusco the most is the small town atmosphere and how we all come together in times of need. He experienced this first hand when they experienced a house fire years ago and members of the community, some he did not even know, rallied around his family to help them through such a difficult time.
